House Desk uses one address for people and another stable compatibility address for private calendar feeds.

Calendar applications may retain a subscription URL for months. Moving the human interface or documentation should not force residents to replace a working feed, so the feed address changes more conservatively than the website.
The split also keeps human navigation and private credential-bearing requests distinct. A resident should browse and manage through House Desk; a calendar app should fetch only the private feed it was given.
